  • Added a block to players saving vehicles of others - a toggle for this will be coming in a later update (by @StOneR)
  • Added some new minigame notifications using the new card component, which is also used by the XP system - see below (by @StOneR)
  • Adjusted the distance of voice chat to be further than what it originally was (by @nex)
  • Adjusted the vehicle spawner menu to not display reward/supporter vehicles that cannot be spawned by the player (by @StOneR)
  • Adjusted the position of the help message in the top-left (i.e: Press X key to do Y action) to not conflict with the watermark (by @nex)

  • Fixed a bug that caused car meet votes to not work (by @nex)

Interior Changes:

  • Added several new interiors that should have been loaded, such as the non-destroyed Casino interior (by @logan)

  • Adjusted the interior of the Casino to be "less of an eyesore" (by @logan)
  • Fixed a bug that caused an error when you went near Redline Performance (by @logan)

Gameplay Changes:

  • Added a new system for earning XP (by @nex)
    • Kill others in the PvP lobby: 10 XP - You can only gain XP from a victim once every so often

    • Participate in racing minigames:
      • Winning a race (1st place): +150 XP
      • Losing a race (any other place): +25 XP
        • Rewards for 2nd and 3rd place will come soon

  • Added improved PvP notifications above the radar for displaying the number of times you and the other player have killed each other (by @StOneR)
  • Added logic to support player death icons on the radar - if someone dies, their blip icon will change to indicate that (by @nex)
  • Added a level display to the chat, indicating what level a player is currently on (by @nex)
  • Adjusted the update frequency of player blips and names, resulting in smoother and quicker navigation on the radar (by @nex)
  • Fixed an abused exploit that allowed players to use weapons in passive mode (by @nex)

Future plans for the XP system, and a general overview of its current state:

  • The current list of XP rewards (mentioned above) will grow as time goes on. Next update will tie XP into car meet voting, so you can gain XP by receiving upvotes for your vehicles.
  • Currently, the XP and levelling system is meant to give players a goal to work towards: a higher level to compete with others.
  • XP and levels are not linear - the higher the level, the more XP that will be needed to get to the next.
  • There is no maximum level that you can achieve right now, but we are thinking on adding a 'prestige' system in the future.
  • Down the road, we will be implementing an XP shop with tokens that you can earn by playing on the server, and accumulating XP (and reaching certain levels) will allow you to unlock perks and other cosmetical items that can be purchased with tokens. This is an idea so far, but is definitely something we would like to look into as it adds more purpose to the XP system and adds a new area of gameplay that players can explore.

  • Important! The XP system will be a separate gameplay 'enhancement' - nothing will be changing in any other area of the server. We want to keep the features and type of gameplay that we have built our server around for the last couple years, and those existing gameplay options will not be going anywhere. This is for the players that want a little extra out of the server, and you don't have to participate to unlock anything that you currently have access to!

We plan to have new gameplay systems running alongside existing systems, so players can enjoy the same gameplay they've always been enjoying while also getting access to the new and exciting stuff. It's a win-win for everyone involved, and if you think otherwise, then do let us know what we can do to improve!

As we introduce the XP system and other gameplay elements, your feedback is important and we are listening for it!

Use the Feedback section for any questions, concerns, bug reports and suggestions that you may have regarding anything on our servers (not just content!).

Thanks for being patient as always, and have fun 🙂
