Developer nex 416 Posted March 9, 2022 Developer Share Posted March 9, 2022 This update brings new UI interfaces, bug fixes, features, improvements, clothing and more. Added the third major release of the Server Hub (by @nex) With support for emotes and teleport locations out of the box, and plans to add a lot more in the near future. We've improved accessibility to the hub for players running smaller resolutions, which was a big concern with its predecessor. Here's some of the features that the new hub has: Widgets - for displaying general server statistics, your ping, session time, hours played, and punishments. Quick Actions - similar to the tiles of the previous server hub, these are useful for quickly accessing various features of the server. Your Statistics - a box containing all of your RSM activity stats, including stats for PvPvE, drifting, racing, and stunt jumps. Store - this is a WIP, but we've embedded our store into the UI so you can click and browse without looking for its link. Emote Browser - search and filter-through all available emotes, including custom ones, without effort. This is intended to compliment the existing emotes menu, as the new hub doesn't support controllers... yet. Teleport Locations - all of the teleport locations are categorised with the ability to search and filter. Settings - just like the emote browser and teleport locations, you can search and filter settings for easy finding. In the previous hub, most of the settings were small tiles at the very bottom. This wasn't very accessible to players on smaller resolutions, and this should now remedy that. With the new hub, we can now add more types of settings, including text boxes (e.g, for nicknames), dropdowns, and more. Added a new "Update Available" pop-up that opens in-game after joining the server (by @nex) We've replaced the old, long and ugly countdown (that was shown before you got in-game) with this. Clicking the "View update" button will open a new tab in your default browser with the new update post. Added a global vehicle spawner cooldown for all players to smooth-out lag spikes during peak server times (by @nex) Most of the server-side "lag" is caused by players spawning vehicles, so we've added-back limits to how many vehicles you can spawn in a certain time frame. You can only spawn one vehicle every 5 seconds. Supporters get a 3 second or less cooldown depending on the tier, with the lowest being 1 second for the highest tier. Adjusted the logic of "Total Drift Score" rewards, and increased the score requirements for unlocking them (by @nex) The score is now taken from your profile statistics that persist between reconnections, rather than from your session score. This makes it much easier to unlock the rewards, and as such, we've increased the score requirements to balance it (this change) out. You can see the new score requirements here: https://rsm.gg/challenges Added the ability to toggle the XP and level-up notifications via the Server Hub settings page (by @nex) Added improvements to how staff members are notified of in-game reports, hopefully resulting in faster resolution times (by @nex) Added new sound effects for gaining XP, levelling-up, minigame notifications above the radar, and the new changelog pop-up (by @nex & @StOneR) Added a new feature that teleports you to your last location within a lobby upon switching to it - A note about the new texture replacements change: Spoiler New racing and car manufacturer textures have been added to the extra addons of MP Female GTA:O Bomber Jackets. Extra versions of MP Male GTA:O Bomber Jackets are now included as addon clothing. Players do not need to spend more time looking for the correct vanilla (base game) clothing among hundreds of existing vanilla clothing. This update didn't include any vehicles due to the fact that we're pretty close to some hard limits with the game engine that will end-up crashing your games if we do go over them. Yes, that does mean that vehicle updates are postponed until we can look into this issue closer than we already have and figure-out a solution.
