Developer nex 416 Posted December 10, 2021 Developer Share Posted December 10, 2021 This update contains a new zone feature, bug fixes for leaderboards, and improvements to performance and voice chat. Added support for zones to the RSM Media Player (by @StOneR & @logan) The media player (screens) that exist in Apartments have been extended to work in zones. It allows you to play, watch and listen to media that is synced with nearby players, similar to the Plug.DJ and Hyperbeam/Rabb.it/Kast services. This is locked to our moderators for now while it's in testing, but will eventually be a feature for supporters when it's polished. Supported platform(s): YouTube, Twitch & SoundCloud Added-back the key that was used to toggle the on-screen zone leaderboard (by @nex) This has been much requested again since it was removed and now we've gotten around to doing it. It's F11 by default and can be changed by going to the Key Bindings > FiveM section of the Settings menu (ESC). Added more optimizations to several parts of the server, reducing lag for the server and player clients - improving FPS (by @nex) We've fixed a client-sided issue where an unnecessary amount of events were being issued for the zone leaderboards. We've also significantly improved our changelog notification during connect and reduced the amount of consumed CPU time per player connect. On-top of that, we've added a small tweak to non-minigame street races to reduce its CPU time consumption. Small wins! Fixed a few bugs with zone leaderboards, including one that caused unreliable player/score listings (by @nex) A server-sided issue with the processing, sorting and parsing part of it has now been fixed, and scores should display perfectly now. The on-screen leaderboard is now hidden from your screen when you're switching lobbies. We already do this for other conditions, so it just makes sense to do this too. Updated voice chat, hopefully improving reliability and functionality (by @nex) Let's see if that pesky bug (where others are unable to hear you, but you are able to hear them) has been fixed. Drop a bug report on our Discord if this still continues and we'll look into it This isn't the largest update we've done but we are working on fixing a few bugs that have been brought up on Discord. I've also been sick for the past week and am still recovering, so don't expect too much. Enjoy the update, and have fun
