Failed to connect (or handshake) to server
This error comes in a few different forms, and this is important as they can all mean different problems!
Select a spoiler that correlates to the form of error that you are experiencing below.
This means that FiveM is having issues with DNS and usually takes 15-30 minutes to clear-up on its own.
There is nothing you can do about this other than wait for FiveM to resolve the issue on their end.

Failed to connect to nexxed-xxxxxx.users.cfx.re port 443: Timed out - CURL error code 28
This means that FiveM is having issues with DNS and usually takes 15-30 minutes to clear-up on its own.
There is nothing you can do about this other than wait for FiveM to resolve the issue on their end.
You are not the only one getting this error, please refrain from posting about it on Discord it if it's already been reported to us.
This is an indication that the server is currently down or you have a broken route to it.
To resolve this, try using a VPN service (any location, nearest recommended) and connecting.
If the issue persists after using a VPN, check any of the announcement channels on our Discord for any downtime before opening a support topic.
Failed handshake to server nexxed-xxxxxx.users.cfx.re - HTTP 502
This is an indication that the server is currently down.
Try checking any of the announcement channels on our Discord for any planned downtime.

Failed to getinfo server after 3 attempts
This means that you're connection to the server is being interrupted one way or another.
If it persists after two tries to connect (not attempts like it says in the error!) then let us know on Discord with the output of the following command in a command prompt:
tracert absent.rsm.gg
Make sure that there is a developer active in the support channel to check it out before sending it.
This will take a while to run, but just give it a few minutes and wait for it to complete!
