This update brings several new features, multiple bug fixes, more content, optimization, improvements and much more!

  • 📺 Added support for zones to the RSM Media Player (by @StOneR & @logan)
    • The media player (screens) that exist in Apartments have been extended to work in zones, so you can now have watch/listen parties!
    • It allows you to play, watch and listen to media that is synced with nearby players, similar to the Plug.DJ and Hyperbeam/Rabb.it/Kast services.
    • This can only be used by players who have an active subscription for Ultimate Supporter or above, by using the /createmediaplayer command.
    • Supported platform(s): YouTube & Twitch

  • #️⃣ Added-back the key that was used to toggle the on-screen zone leaderboard (by @nex)
    • This has been much requested again since it was removed and now we've gotten around to doing it.
    • It's F11 by default and can be changed by going to the Key Bindings > FiveM section of the Settings menu (ESC).

  • 🍏 Added more optimizations to several parts of the server, reducing lag for the server and player clients - improving FPS (by @nex)
    • We've fixed a client-sided issue where an unnecessary amount of events were being issued for the zone leaderboards.
    • We've also significantly improved our changelog notification during connect and reduced the amount of consumed CPU time per player connect.
    • Last, but probably least... we've added a small tweak to non-minigame street races to reduce its CPU time consumption.

  • 🛠️ Fixed a few bugs with zone leaderboards, including one that caused unreliable player/score listings (by @nex)
    • A server-sided issue with the processing, sorting and parsing part of it has now been fixed, and scores should display perfectly now.
    • The on-screen leaderboard is now hidden from your screen when you're switching lobbies. We already do this for other conditions, so it just makes sense to do this too.

  • 🎙️ Updated voice chat, hopefully improving reliability and functionality (by @nex)
    • Let's see if that pesky bug (where others are unable to hear you, but you are able to hear them) has been fixed.
    • Drop a bug report on our Discord if this still continues and we'll look into it 😅

  • 🚙 Added a new and improved technique for syncing vehicle Nitrous (NOS) with other, nearby players (by @nex)
    • Nitrous effect synchronization has been disabled/removed for a while now, but this marks its return!
    • You can now see other players using Nitrous with the effects appearing as they should 🙂

  • 🏎️ Tweaked the logic of gaining drift score in zones to increase instead of decrease, based on nearby players (by @nex)
    • Previously, you'd actually lose score if there were many players drifting in the same area.
    • The original idea for this was to allow players to spread-out to other drift zones, instead of hogging just one.
    • But after this change (we hope) you are now encouraged to gain score by participating in tandems and other group-related drift activities.

  • 🌈 Added rainbow vehicle neons for Super Supporters and above, with the ability to sync with other players (by @nex)
    • Yep, RGB neons/underglow are finally here! You can also perfectly synchronize them with other players 😎
    • You can change the speed and seed of your rainbow-ness, and if other players use the same speed (and seed) they are able to sync-up with you.
    • Use the /rainbowneon command in-game to use this feature, and pay attention to the command suggestions when typing it out for more information.
    • Examples:
      • /rainbowneon toggle  - Enables rainbow neons
      • /rainbowneon sync  - Enables synchronization
      • /rainbowneon 15000 1337  - Sets the speed to 15,000 and the seed to 1337

  • 🪧 Added nickname abilities for all supporters, allowing a different in-game name to the one you joined with (by @nex)
    • This feature is useful for, as an example, if you want to prefix your name with a clan tag - but it can obviously be used for more than that, so get creative!
    • Your nickname will be shown in kill feeds, above your player model (gamertag/player name) and more areas (except for chat).
    • Furthermore, all nicknames are suffixed with an asterisk (*) so it's easy to distinguish an actual name from a nickname.
    • Use the /nick (or nickname) command followed by the name that you would like to use. Use /nick reset to reset it.

  • ⚡ Updated the common scripting language, improving FPS and performance in many cases (by @nex)
    • Most of our scripts are now running on the recently updated and improved version of Lua (5.4).
    • This will improve your FPS (more noticeable on older systems?) and reduce lag spikes.

  • 🔊 Added synchronization to custom vehicle engine audio, allowing your changes to be heard by other players (by @StOneR)
    • Custom "Engine Audio" for vehicles were entirely client-sided, but now can be heard by other players!
    • Now go flex your custom rotary engine sound in-game 😉

  • Added new filters for letters in player names that were abused to confuse other players, more notably in PvP scenarios (by @nex)
  • Added optimisation to vMenu that greatly improves client and server performance on player connect (by @StOneR)
  • Added new chat message and player name filters to our auto moderation tool for racists - bye losers! (by @nex)
  • Fixed a bug that allowed players to use excessive whitespaces in their names and in-game chat messages (by @nex)
  • Fixed an error related to the smoke option in non-highlife apartments (by @StOneR)
  • Fixed a bug that caused the nitrous exhaust effect to be delayed when you use it for the first time in a session (by @nex)
  • Fixed improper categorisation of some cars that were reported on Discord by players (by @StOneR)
  • Improved the synchronization technique used by vStancer (by @StOneR)
  • Removed several problematic vehicles that caused NVIDIA driver crashes (by @StOneR & @nex)
  • Tweaked the anti-cheat to better-detect some cases of cheating (by @nex)

Changes for Media Player:

  • Added proper support for Twitch.tv links (by @logan. & @nex)
  • Added a new and improved default screen (by @logan.)
  • Fixed a rare bug that could cause a client crash for nearby players (by @logan.)
  • Fixed a bug where the URL given by the player could be parsed incorrectly (by @logan.)
  • Improved the resolution of YouTube and Twitch.tv playback (by @StOneR)
  • Improved the handling of when a video/request ends (by @logan.)
  • Improved the performance of playback (by @logan.)
